Big Fish Reels

Fishing for many is a great passion and they even succumb to the challenge of fishing. But fishing requires equally competent equipments and one of the most important is the fishing reel. Without a proper fishing reel it is hard to imagine fishing and the whole experience can turn out to be a daunting one besides being enthralling. Fishing reels are available in two options which are fixed spool reels and multiplier reels.

Fixed Spool Reels: are quite inexpensive and best for beginners. The fixed spool reel is equipped with an axle or posts that points in the same direction as the rod around which the spool rotates. The line in this kind of bait fishing reel is draw together by a bail arm which moves in an out laying the line in clear loops. When you need to make a cast you can open the bail arm and hold the line with your finger tip and shoot it at the right second. This way the line simply strips off the spool as the bait flies out.

Multiplier Reels: are expensive and not meant for the novice. In such kind of reels, the post lies perpendicular to the direction of the rod while it is sustained at both the ends. The multiplier reels are heavier and takes precision to use. Some multiplier reels come with a guide to lay the line in the correct while with others models you have to rely on guiding the line back onto the spool when retrieving. With the multiplier reels, to make a cast you have to press the spool with your thumb and let go at the right moment.
