Fly Fishing Vs. Bait Fishing

There is a long going debate among the fishing enthusiasts on which is the best technique for fishing. And by and large there are only two fishing methods which have been giving stiff competition to each other. These fishing methods are Fly fishing Vs. Bait fishing. Which amongst these is the best, only the fisherman has to decide based on his skills and other equipments needed. There are visible differences between these methods and this is where the debate starts.

Fly fishing is the method in which an object that resembles a fly is used to catch the fish whereas in bait fishing, baits like worms or chicken liver is used to attract the fish. In fly fishing, the fisherman uses a decoy shaped like a fish's natural prey - for instance, an insect caught accidently in the current of a stream. This method is used in order to excite the fish to grab it. Such kinds of decoys used in this method are known as "flies," and are attached to a hook or set of hooks. In fly fishing, a bait is not involved and the fish is attracted to the simulation of the fly.

In bait fishing, some of the commonly used baits include cut-baits like fried chicken, fish entrails, grasshoppers, salmon eggs, shrimps and crayfish tails. The fish is attracted to the bait quite easily.
